The heart of SEAJekyll — beats for the next generation. Through its growing Youth Arts Programs, SEAJekyll seeks to nurture young creators who are shaping the future of art and literature across the Golden Isles. Each year, the organization will host juried youth contests in both visual and literary arts, designed to celebrate creativity inspired by the island’s own rich history, nature, and sense of place.
🎨 The SEAJekyll Student Visual Arts Contest, featuring artwork inspired by Jekyll Island’s landscapes, wildlife, history, or cultural heritage, and
✍️ The SEAJekyll Student Literary Contest, which welcomes poetry, essays, and short stories that capture the island’s stories — from its Victorian past to its natural wonders and conservation legacy.
Winners in both categories may earn college scholarships, summer art camp scholarships, and public recognition through SEAJekyll’s programs. Their works are proudly featured in The Drift, Jekyll Island’s annual literary and arts magazine, and displayed in rotating exhibitions across the island.
SEAJekyll not only provides financial support but also opens doors to mentorship, exhibition, and publication — empowering students to see their work valued and their potential recognized.
By connecting today’s youth with the artistic heritage of the Golden Isles, SEAJekyll ensures that creativity remains a living tradition — one that continues to shape the culture, identity, and beauty of coastal Georgia for generations to come.
Each contribution, each purchase from SEAJekyll’s events, and each piece of donated artwork helps fund these transformative opportunities. Supporting SEAJekyll means investing in the artists, writers, and dreamers who will tell the next chapter of the island’s story — keeping the light of inspiration burning bright.
